Duke Law School is currently accepting applications for the next Director of the Bolch Judicial Institute, a leadership role dedicated to advancing the rule of law and judicial independence. This is an opportunity for a judge or experienced legal professional to shape the future of judicial education, research, and global engagement.
Among the Director’s responsibilities are to:
- Lead strategic initiatives to support the judiciary and protect the rule of law
- Oversee educational programs, research projects, and judicial outreach
- Engage with judges, academics, and legal professionals worldwide
- Manage a dedicated team and collaborate with faculty, advisory boards, and donors
This is a faculty position (Professor of the Practice of Law) at Duke University School of Law in Durham, NC. Candidates for this position must hold a JD degree and have at least 10 years of leadership experience in the judiciary, legal profession, or legal education. A deep understanding of the courts and the judiciary is strongly preferred. Teaching experience, scholarly publications, a track record of fundraising, organizational management experience, and experience working with an advisory board are preferred.
