Documents For Public Comment

The Bolch Judicial Institute produces a variety of best practices, guidelines, and other resources to advance the administration of justice and provide useful information for the legal profession. Lawyers, judges, and scholars volunteer their time to research, develop, and edit these documents, with assistance from Duke Law students and staff. Once a draft is finalized, the document is released for public comment. The Institute shares documents seeking public comment via email with its constituents and by posting drafts on this page. Instructions for submitting comments are included with each individual document, or comments may be submitted via email to judicialstudies@law.duke.edu. All comments are considered by the drafting team during the final editorial and publication process, and all comments are available for public review upon request.

Once a document is finalized, it is listed on the Publications page of this website and may be published elsewhere.
