Justice Christopher Goff of the Indiana Supreme Court was recently recognized by Indiana Court Times for completing his Master of Judicial Studies degree at Duke University.
The Duke Law School graduation ceremony at Cameron Indoor Stadium on May 11 was especially meaningful — it was the first time since his high school graduation that he walked in a formal ceremony, having skipped his undergraduate and law school commencements. “It seems silly now,” he reflected, “but back then, I thought I was too busy to stop and celebrate those milestones.” This time, his “cheering section” included his wife Raquel, along with children and grandchildren who tuned into the webcast.
On the program itself, Justice Goff shared: “Taking a look at the judicial branch and getting a more holistic view of what you do and how you interact with other branches is meaningful. This experience was an opportunity to bring good things back to Indiana.”
