Virtual Bolch Prize Celebration honoring Justices Moseneke, Marshall premiering June 30

The Bolch Judicial at Duke Law School will premiere a virtual celebration honoring the 2020 and 2021 recipients of the Bolch Prize for the Rule of Law on June 30 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Hosted by PBS Newshour’s Judy Woodruff, a Duke University alumna, the program will highlight the extraordinary lives of Justice Dikgang Moseneke, former Deputy Chief Justice of the South Africa Constitutional Court and the 2020 Prize recipient, and Chief Justice Margaret H. Marshall, former chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the 2021 Prize recipient.

In addition to a conversation with the prize recipients, the celebration will feature remarks from Anthony Kennedy, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court and 2019 Bolch Prize recipient; Carl and Susan Bass Bolch, founders of the Bolch Prize; Kerry Abrams, dean of Duke Law School; David F. Levi, director of the Bolch Judicial Institute; Mandisa Maya, the first woman to serve as President of the Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa; and a special performance by the Boston Children’s Chorus with five-time GRAMMY Award-winner Keb’ Mo’.
